Join Alison Potts-Innate Being and discover a treasure box of micro-practices for embodying and growing more self- compassion – using the moments arising in your daily life and the tools of your own body to gift yourself the helping hand of friendship.

 

Self-compassion is not just a story or an insubstantial, fluffy “nice idea” to be put on hold for when we feel we have really earned it. Compassion changes things – it transforms suffering and increases the “happy chemicals” of security, love, joy and creativity. Compassion not only involves qualities but produces states of being and the energy for taking positive action in life.

 

The key to installing self-compassion is to take an embodied approach, where using “the three universal expressions of compassion” – tone, touch and gaze – we can gain access to the deeper security and wisdom of our mind-body-nervous-systems, and resource our healing, wellbeing and happiness in positive and life-affirming ways.

 

In this workshop we will:

 

-       Remember how valuable compassion is and how much it means to us, and to others

 

-       Understand the old programming that can get us caught up in not being compassionate to ourselves and discover some powerful enquiry and resources for removing that programming and dissolving blocks.

 

-       Learn the psychology-backed power of using embodied practice to install new ways of being and feeling towards ourselves in ways that are sustainable and lasting and continue to grow the inner strengths of self -compassion.

 

-       Experience and resource ourselves with some wonderful daily-life practices to cultivate an inner tone of self-friendship and compassionate self-alliance, that take hardly any time but pack a powerful punch.

 

Whatever has happened in the past and however we have been to ourselves, we can take such comfort and delight in knowing that we can always take a moment in the present to renew our sacred relationship with ourselves; to bring in balance and fairness and to be on our own side and loving.
