“Compassion is not a luxury. It is a necessity for most people to survive” The Dalai Lama
Compassion is a “triple win”. It benefits those who receive it, those who offer it and those who witness it. We now have lots of data about the healing power of compassion for our minds and bodies.
Most of us are closely in touch with our natural urge to offer kindness, respect and mercy to those around us. The problem is that we forget to include ourselves in that circle of compassion. We often come to meditation and related practices because we want relief from stress, without realising that one of the greatest stressors on our bodies and minds is a lack of self-compassion. The important news is that self-compassion can be cultivated through training. In mindfulness, meditation and inner practice, there is an opportunity for this training to happen and to create real internal change.
Join Alison Potts-Innate Being to explore a foundational set of practices for meeting ourselves and our humanity with compassion, and receiving ourselves exactly as we are – whatever is showing up and however we are showing up. Discover how using self-compassion regularly, actually creates neural change within us that can significantly reduce our stress levels, heal deep wounds, shift unwanted patterns and transform our health, happiness and what we bring to life.
This two-and-a-half-hour workshop will offer you some new perspectives and a valuable set of personal tools and practices that are life enhancing and easy to weave into your daily life.
